Financial assistance may be available to eligible New Jersey applicants through the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation, Upgrade and Closure Fund. Eligibility depends on the tank condition, proposed work, project costs and the applicant’s financial qualifications.

The separate program for non-leaking residential underground storage tanks has not accepted new applications since May 3, 2011. Current applicants should also expect a substantial review period.
